The Four Inspirational Bible Verses to Encourage You

1. Pray for Wisdom in Making Decisions

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5)

“Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.” (Proverbs 19:20)

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;” (Proverbs 2:6)

Okay, let me just put this our here. Some of you are responsible for the current state of your business.

Have you made some poor decisions that landed you in trouble? Then, it’s time to pray for wisdom. Going forward, you need to make good business decisions that will lead to business success and prosperity.

While you may not be able to undo the result of some decisions, you can definitely start making better decisions to improve your business. So ask for wisdom.

Ask God to help you make the best decisions for your business. Not decisions based on fear or ignorance, but careful and smart decisions that can turn your business around for good.

“Lord, I don’t always make the best decisions for my business or life, but thank you for your mercy. Going forward, I want to make good decisions that bring success and prosperity. So, help me, God. Help me make wise decisions for your glory.”

2. Pray for Financial Blessing

“A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1)

“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)

It doesn’t matter how much you love your business. If your business isn’t doing well financially, you are going to start feeling stressed, anxious, and maybe unhappy.

If your business is going through a financial downturn, it’s time to ask God for a financial miracle. The Bible says that the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it belongs to him. So ask him for a financial breakthrough for your business.

Pray, believing that God hears you when you call

“Father, your word says that you will supply all my needs according to your riches in Christ Jesus. Lord, I need a financial breakthrough in my business. I pray for open heavens over my business. I ask that my business be marked by abundance and not lack. Thank you for your provision now and always.”

3. Pray for a Specific Need

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6)

“The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.” (Proverbs 10:3)

“I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.” (Psalm 37:25)

What do you need the most in your business? Do you have a specific need you want God to meet?

Whether it’s more customers, a business loan, or an office space, whatever it is you need right now, I want you to pray about it. Be specific when you pray.

I like to be specific when I pray for my business. Being specific keeps me focused and stops me from rambling. My faith also grows the more specific I get.

Spend some time praying for that thing (or two) that’s slowing you down. Ask for the specific breakthrough that you need and wait for God to grant your request.

4. Pray That You Will Become More Spiritually Mature

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:18)

Adversity should lead to spiritual maturity but that isn’t always the case. I have lost faith a few times when I was facing hard times. I’d feel discouraged and disappointed and I’d start looking for solutions myself.

While there’s nothing wrong with taking practical steps to resolve issues in your business, your motive or motivation is also important. So ask the Holy Spirit to help you become more spiritually mature through these challenging times.

Pray that your faith will become stronger and not weaker. That you won’t lose your joy or strength because you know the Lord is your helper.

“Holy Spirit, help me to stay strong through adversity. Let me come out of this situation stronger and loving the Lord even more. Help me to continue to walk in the paths of righteousness. Let me not trust in my own strength or in the strength of man because vain is the help of man. Thank you for your peace and grace.
