Novena Prayers in Preparation for the Feast Day of Mother Mary Birthday
Let us begin, In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Most Beautiful Branch of the tree of David,
most admirable Mary,
whose birth was such a consolation
to St Joachim and St Anne
who were entralled by the advent of their holy child.
May your birth be the consolation of my soul,
by obtaining for me from God,
victory over the world
and detachment from all the things of this earth.
Dearest Mother, please pray for me
and for these my intentions…
………………… (State your intentions)
5 Hail Mary…
Prayer:
Your Nativity, O Virgin Mother of God,
was the herald of joy to the whole world;
since from you arose the Sun of Justice, Christ our God,
who, destroying the curse,
bestowed the blessing
and confounding death,
rewarded us with life everlasting.
V. Let us celebrate with joy the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
R. That she may intercede for us with Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us pray:
Grant to us Your servants,
we beseech you, O Lord,
the gift of Your heavenly grace,
that as our salvation was begun
in the child-bearing of the Blessed Virgin,
so from this solemn festival of her Nativity,
we may obtain an increase of peace.
Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer
Oh, Blessed Virgin Mary! Chosen and destined by the majestic Trinity to be the Mother of the only begotten Son of the Father, announced by the prophets, expected from the Patriarchs, and desired by all people; Tabernacle and living Temple of the Holy Spirit, Sun without spot, because you were conceived without original sin, Lady of heaven and earth, Queen of angels; we humbly come before you, and rejoice in the solemn annual celebration of your joyful birth; and from the depths of our hearts, we beseech you to be graciously born spiritually in our souls, so that we may be captivated by your love and sweetness, may we always remain united to your so sweet and loving heart.
Today, we beseech your maternal intercession on behalf of all expectant (pregnant) mothers and those presently in labour (mention the names of those you wish to pray for). O blessed Mother, assist them as they prepare to give birth to the respective child in their wombs. Watch over them, be their guide and support, calming their fears and strengthening their love. Grant them confidence and strength to dispel their anxiety and fear. Let your gentle hand, like that of a skilled physician, aid their delivery, bringing their offspring safe and sound to the light of day. May their respective child(ren) live to be reborn in holy baptism, and continuing always in your service, be found worthy of attaining everlasting life; through Christ our Lord.
1 Our Father… 10 Hail Marys… 1 Glory be…
The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
