A Prayer for your dear Country (Name…)
Father, we beg Your blessing for the Right to Life, the Unborn, the weak, the sick and the old; all who are finding themselves being targets of the vicious culture of death; that our Lord Jesus bless and protect all who stand up for the Christian dignity of persons. That God enlighten those who are traveling down death’s highway by their involvement, in any way, with either the contemporary death culture, selfism, Relativitism, or any of the new age errors of our times, that God envelop our culture with His Divine protection and help us both individually and as a nation to true enlightenment, conversion and repentance of our selves and our culture. Help us to turn from our national sin of abortion, and return to, and once again become a Christian nation, on the narrow road, that is, the path to becoming a nation and culture, under God. Amen.
A Prayer for the Unborn
Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.
Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.
Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image, as well as theirs, made for eternal life.
Dispel their fear of selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother can give.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
A Prayer for Visioning
Eternal Father, through the resurrection of Jesus the good news of Your love has touched the world. By our baptism we are reborn as your Children of Light. Through the work of Your Spirit the glory of Your new creation continues to unfold.
Watch over Your family of faith in the Archdiocese of Regina. Inspire us by the prompting of Your Spirit: that our elders may dream new dreams and our youth may find wisdom in visions. Give us a courageous heart, a bold voice and openness of mind, and above all else, ears that listen.
Help us, as Your family, to discover Your way: story telling and dialogue which leads to understanding; ideas which challenge growth; a journey which will bring hope.
We offer you this prayer for you are our life, our strength and guide, Our loving God, for ever and ever. Amen.
A Prayer in Time of Calamity
Mercy of God, encompass us, and deliver us from every plague.
Glory Be to The Father…
Eternal Father, sign us with the Blood of the Immaculate Lamb, as Thou didst sign the dwellings of Thy people.
Glory Be to The Father…
Most precious Blood of Jesus, our love, cry for mercy for us from Thy Divine Father, and deliver us.
Glory Be to The Father…
Wounds of my Jesus, mouths of love and mercy, speak for us in pity to the Eternal Father; hide us within yourselves, and deliver us.
Glory Be to The Father…
Eternal Father, Jesus is ours; ours His Blood, ours His infinite merits; to Thee we offer ourselves wholly; then, if Thou lovest Him, and holdest precious this gift we make Thee, Thou surely wilt deliver us; and for this we hope with fullest confidence.
Glory Be to The Father…
Eternal Father, Thou desirest not the death of a sinner, but rather that he should be converted and live; in Thy mercy grant that we may live before Thee, and be forever Thine.
Glory Be to The Father…
Save us, Christ our Saviour, by the virtue of Thy holy Cross: Thou Who didst save Peter in the sea, have mercy upon us.
Mary, Mother of mercy, pray for us, and we shall be delivered; Mary, our advocate, speak for us, and we shall be saved.
The Lord justly scourgeth us for our sins; but do thou, Mary, plead for us, for thou art our most tender Mother.
Mary, in Thy Jesus and in thee have we put our hope: Oh! let us never be confounded.
Salve Regina…
A Prayer in Time of Distress
I shall walk through dark Valleys, I fear no harm for you are at my side. Your rod and staff shall give me courage, no evil shall befall me, No weakness in my stride.
God wills not my foot to slip or my guardian sleep, He guides me from all evil,
The Lord is my guardian; The Lord the shade I keep, By day the sun cannot harm me Or the moon by night.
For the Lord said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled, Have faith in God and also in me. In my Father’s house There are many dwelling places. If there were not, Would I have told you That I am going to prepare A place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, So that where I am You also may be.”
If the Lord is with us, who can be against us?
