A Nurse’s Prayer
O my God, teach me to receive the sick in Thy Name. Give to my effort success for the glory of Thy Holy Name. It is Thy work; without Thee, I cannot succeed. Grant that the sick Thou hast placed in my care may be abundantly blessed, and not one of them be lost because of any neglect on my part.
Help me to overcome every temporal weakness, and strengthen in me whatever may enable me to bring joy to the lives of those I serve. Give me grace, for the sake of Thy sick ones and of those lives that will be influenced by them.
My Nurse’s Prayer
When I falter, give me courage. When I tire, renew my strength. When I weaken because I’m human, Inspire me on to greater length. If doctors and patients become demanding, and days are too short for all my duty. Help me remember I chose to serve, to do so with grace, and spiritual beauty. In humility, Lord, I labour long hours, and though I sometimes may fret; My mission is mercy. Abide with me, that I may never forget.

Dear Lord, please give me wisdom with every word I speak.
Dear Lord, please give me patience, as I comfort the sick and weak.

That I have done the best I can, That I have done what’s right.
A Prayer Before Surgery
O Jesus Christ, Messiah and Lord, grant me joyful acceptance of the surgery which awaits me, and let this be the relief and cure which I seek. Make skilled the work of the surgeon and that of his team for it is unto their knowledge and skill that I give myself for healing. I pray You, O Lord, that this procedure will be without complication, and that my recovery will be speedy and complete.
Prayer Before Surgery
Loving Father, I entrust myself to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, I may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around me. Prayer After Surgery
Blessed Savior, I thank you that this operation is safely past, and now I rest in your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety, receiving more and more of your healing life into every part of my being. In moments of pain I turn to you for strength, in times of loneliness I feel your loving nearness. Grant that your life and love and joy may flow through me for the healing of others in your name. Amen.
Bring me Healing oh Lord Jesus Christ
I prayed “Please Lord, my life is a mess, let your love flow through me and bring healing.” And like a river cool refreshing water you flowed through me. Not as a gentle stream, a rivulet of hope, but a torrent, sweeping debris away. All those broken branches, rust-encrusted items, and accumulated debris, which were holding back the flow swept aside in a torrent of love, flooding through my veins, pouring into my heart, filling my life. This is healing. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ!
